Run your vehicles with Yalu Ride

For owners with two or three vehicles and for large companies. Each driver uses the driver app on their own phone, and you see every hire on every vehicle.

Who it is for

  • Two or three vehicles

You drive one yourself and hire drivers for the others.

  • 4 to 20 vehicles

Transfer and tour companies with their own drivers.

  • More than 20 vehicles

Coach and van operators, hotel fleets and rental companies.

How it works

  1. Apply, and we check your company

Business registration or NIC, and the papers for each vehicle.

  2. You get a company code, and a code for each vehicle

We print a QR sticker for each vehicle and post it to you.

  3. Drivers join with your company code

Nobody drives for you until you approve them in the fleet portal.

  4. Every shift starts in the vehicle

The driver scans the vehicle’s sticker and passes a live face check. Only drivers you allowed on that vehicle can start.

  5. You see every hire

Driver, vehicle, time, route, fare and the cash collected.

What you control

  • Approve or remove drivers at any time
  • Decide which drivers may use which vehicle
  • Reminders before a revenue licence or insurance runs out. A vehicle with expired papers gets no jobs.
  • Ratings for each driver and each vehicle, with passengers’ comments
  • The cash each driver collected, day by day
From launch

No hidden hires

A trip only starts when the passenger gives the driver their start code, so every hire on your vehicles is recorded under the driver who drove it.

Money

Fleet partners pay no commission: our fee is charged to the customer. During the launch period passengers pay your drivers in cash, and the portal shows what each driver collected so you can settle with them.

What we ask for

  • Business registration (BR) certificate, or your NIC if you own up to three vehicles
  • For each vehicle: registration certificate, revenue licence, insurance that covers carrying passengers for hire, emission test
  • For each driver: NIC, a police report and a driving licence for the vehicle

The right licence for each vehicle

  • Licence B: Car, SUV and Luxury Van (up to 9 seats including the driver)
  • Licence D1: Van, High-Roof Van and Mini Coach (10 to 33 seats including the driver)

The driver app checks the licence class against the vehicle before a shift can start.

Fleet questions

Can I drive one of my vehicles myself?

Yes. Join with your own company code, like your other drivers.

What happens when a driver leaves?

Remove them in the portal. Their access to your vehicles stops at once.

Can a driver take a vehicle I did not assign?

No. A shift only starts with the code of a vehicle you assigned to that driver.

Who handles complaints about my drivers?

We tell you about every complaint. The driver is paused during an investigation, and serious safety complaints end their access to Yalu Ride with every fleet.

Can a driver drive for two companies?

No. A driver works with one company at a time and leaves it before joining another. Their own Yalu Ride checks stay with them.
